The first Biennale printmaking Gravelines will be held in autumn 2016 at the Museum of drawing and the original print Gravelines (France). The judging panel has finished studyng all applications sent.
We warmly thank all 280 participants from Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Egypt, Spain, Estonia, the United States, Finland, France, Hungary, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Switzerland, Taiwan et Turkey for the creativity and quality of the contemporary print they presented us.
The jury was composed of the Gravelines museum of drawing and original print, of the “Art & Print – friends of the Gravelines museum” association, who organised the event, and of elected representatives of Gravelines. Each application was examined by all the members of the comittee and the decisions were unanimously taken.
The comittee had to make crucial choices given the number of applications collected. Twenty printmakers have been selected to be displayed from november 12, 2016 to December 23rd, 2016. Prize of the biennial, an endowment 1500 euros. and Intaglio price, consisting of a set of Matthieu Coulanges intaglio tools, will be awarded the day of the opening of the exhibition, saturday november 12, 2016.
